What if I don’t show up for store pickup?

It will be treated as a no-show, and the order will be cancelled without any refund. You can pick up the gear later through your booking duration.

For example, If you have booked the camera from 5th Jan - 9th Jan. If you were not able to pick it up on the 4th evening, you can pick it up anytime until 9th Jan. 10th Jan will be your return date.

Can I cancel during my rental or extension?

No. Cancellations during an active rental or extension aren’t allowed.

What if I cancel close to pickup or delivery?

What if I forget to return accessories like chargers or batteries?

You have 24 hours to return any missing accessories. If not returned, full replacement charges will apply.

What if something gets damaged or lost?

Please inform us within 12 hours. Charges for damage or loss will be based on the rental agreement.

When am I responsible for the equipment?

You are responsible from the moment the equipment is handed over to you, whether at the store or via delivery and until it is returned and inspected by our team.

What if I forget to request early?

We’ll try to help. If the item is still available, we can often accommodate it. If it’s booked, there may be extra charges or we might need to deny the extension.

What if I return late or don’t respond?

We send reminders before return time. If the gear isn’t returned and we don’t hear from you, it may be treated as an unauthorized extension, and extra charges may apply. Keeping us informed avoids inconvenience. For more details, please refer to the agreement policy.

Can I extend my rental?

Yes! Just contact us at least 24 hours before your rental ends. Extensions are confirmed after availability is checked and payment is received.

What happens if I return the kit later than agreed?

If you return gear significantly late after a confirmed return time, we may treat it as a late return and apply penalties. Communication ahead of time helps avoid this.

What is the minimum rental period?

We charge for a minimum of 1 full rental day. The previous day pickup and next day return times are provided as buffer periods and are not included in the rental usage.

In case of same-day urgent bookings (e.g., booked before 1 PM on April 7), the rental will still count as a 1-day booking with return due by 10:30 AM the next day.

Are the products rented out owned by other customers?

No, all rental equipment is owned and maintained by RentAcross. We do not rent out products owned by other customers or third parties. Each item is regularly cleaned, serviced, and quality-checked before every rental to ensure the best experience for you.

Can you help with viewing or recovering my photos/videos?

We can guide you on basic usage, but we don’t offer software support or data recovery. Please back up your files promptly to avoid any loss.

Why is full payment required upfront?

Full payment secures your gear. Your booking isn’t confirmed until payment is made, and the item may be booked by someone else otherwise.

Do you accept cash on delivery payments?

No. We currently don’t support cash on delivery. Please pay using UPI/ Net Banking or Credit/ Debit Cards.

How can I be sure that it is safe to pay online on RentAcross?

We use RazorPay, one of India’s most trusted payment gateways, ensuring a fully secure payment process. RentAcross does not store any sensitive payment information on its servers.

Can I pick up the gear the same day my rental starts?

Yes!

Same-day pickup or delivery is usually possible for bookings confirmed before 1:00 PM. Once payment and verification are complete, your gear is prepared for dispatch (subject to availability).

Can someone else pick up or drop off the gear for me?

Accepted Answer

Usually, the person who places the booking should handle both pickup and return. If someone else needs to do it on your behalf, please reach out to us in advance for approval.

Note: you’ll still be fully responsible for the gear throughout the rental period.

If your rental is from 5th to 7th July:

Pickup: 4th July (between 3:00–7:00 PM) or 5th July (between 8:00–10:30 AM)

Return: 7th July (by 8:00 PM) or 8th July (between 8:00–10:30 AM)

Can I pick up or drop off the gear at a store?

Store pickup and drop-off is currently available only in Pune. In all other cities, we offer home delivery and pickup only, which may be chargeable depending on your location. In such cases, you'll see the store pickup/drop option disabled on the shipping page during checkout.

Can I change the pickup or delivery method after booking?

We’re unable to make changes to the pickup or delivery method once your booking is confirmed. Our logistics are scheduled ahead of time to ensure smooth and timely service for everyone. If you have a specific preference, it’s best to choose it while booking.
